Leidos is seeking an innovative Simulation Software Engineer to be part of a larger simulation development team implementing solutions on a large-scale DOD simulation training system. This position will support design solutions and implement those answers in a highly fluid and rapidly developing Agile environment. This position will be a hands-on engineering position and work will primarily involve software development, integration, issue resolution, latency issues and simulation infrastructure design, development and test in a large complex distributed DOD training system.
A successful candidate will show success in requirements traceability of solutions from design thru test for simulation infrastructure features, entity level models, and unit level models. A candidate may also be tasked with addressing underlying network, data, and visualization issues in concert with other multi-skilled teams. Collaborative Scum participation is mandatory for success.
A successful candidate will demonstrate success in developing simulation technical solutions at the infrastructure, entity, and unit levels. It is considered essential that a candidate demonstrate the ability to begin with top level requirements and collaborate to achieve success in defining, designing, implementing, and testing the solution needed. This is a hands-on development position, and the candidate should expect to be involved with all aspects of simulation development in an Agile environment. Demonstrated success in simulation theories, implementation and distributed network operation is required.
